The next Shardlow Car boot sale takes place this Bank Holiday Monday, that's the 6th May 2013.
The next car boots after this are Monday 27th May, Sunday June 16th, and August Bank Holiday 26th.

This car boot takes place on Shardlow Village Hall playing field, The Wharf (Western side) Shardlow.
This car boot sale is organised by the Alvaston Baptist Scout Group and is a nice small to medium sized car boot sale. Parking is 50p, Booters are £5
It opens at 7am and runs until noon.

Shardlow Car boot sale used to take place on the land at the back of the former Grove Hospital but this was demolished in 2007, since then the car boot has taken place on Shardlow Village Hall field.

Show your support for the 131st Alvaston Baptist Scout Group by coming to this nice little car boot sale. The location is very nice, Once you have been to the car boot sale why not have a look around the village of Shardlow. Some nice walks along the Trent and Mersey canal here and some great pubs too.

Today there was a car boot sale at Treetops Hospice, Derby Road, Risley. This is a medium sized car boot sale and well worth a visit. There are two more car boot sales here soon, one on Sunday 29th July 2012 and another on Monday 27th August 2012 (Same day as the Shardlow Car Boot Sale)

Car boot sale at Babington Hospital, Belper on Sunday 20th May 2012.

There will be a car boot sale at Babington Hospital in Belper on Sunday 20th May 2012.
Sellers allowed in from 7.30am, £5 per car.
Buyers from 8.30am. free entry.

Babington Hospital Car Boot on a bad day!

Here is a photograph I took at the last Babington Hospital carboot (18th March 2012), as you can see there was just one car. I'm guessing this was due to very heavy rain over the previous day and into that morning.
This hospital has a large Tarmaced car park so it ideal for a Car Boot Sale, No soggy mud to cope with here!

This car boor sale is organised by the Friends of Babington Hospital.

This car boot does not take place very often, its on one Sunday in March, May, July and September only.
Look out for the large bright yellow sign on the A6 heading out of Belper to Derby.

Car Boot Sale - Pride Park Stadium on Sunday 25th March 2012.

The Pride Part Stadium Car Boot Sale will take place on Sunday 25th March 2012.
The car boot sale will be held from 10am and 2pm.

Derby County fans that have items to sell can bring their boot full with them to the home of the Rams and will be charged just £10 for a pitch.

Buyers will be given access to the Car Boot free of charge.

By taking participants to Kenya, Derby County in the Community aims to raise £20,000 towards sustaining the successful disability programme which offers vulnerable adults and young people the opportunity to play and enjoy football, creating a level playing field for all. The trip also supports the 2012 Kenyan Adventure Community Development Pledge, which invests resources and equipment into the projects Kenyan Adventure supports.

As part of the Car Boot Sale, Pride Park Stadium Tours are being offered to attendees at a discounted price of £4 for adults and £3 for under 16s.
For any group wishing to bring large numbers there is also a discounted group price available.

Tansley Car Boot Sale restarts Today - Sunday 26th February 2012.

The largest car boot sale in Derbyshire makes a return today - Tansley Carboot has restarted !

Belper Indoor Car Boot Sale, 2nd Sunday of the month restarts this Sunday.

This Sunday (11th September 2011) sees the return of Belper Indoor Car Boot Sale at Belper Leisure Centre. In case you did not know, Belper carboot sale takes place on the SECOND Sunday of the month from September through to May.
Note there is NO car boot sale in June, July or August.

Buyers are allowed in from 8am to 12 noon.
Sellers are allowed in from 7am to set up their pitches.

This is a small/medium sized car boot. Of course Tansley Car Boot is one of the largest local car boots but that is outdoors. Then there is Willington Car Boot Sale which is every Saturday and Monday and Shardlow Car Boot that takes place on Bank Holidays in the Summer time.

Because it's an indoor car boot sale its not affected by the weather unlike outdoor car boots where
nobody turns up because its raining! This car boot is always popular whatever the weather.

Exact Location

The indoor car boot is located in the main sports hall of Belper Leisure Centre, From the car park follow the signs on the path to Belper Leisure Centre. The path takes you alongside Belper School and Sixth Form Centre. This will take you to the automatic sliding doors for Belper Leisure Centre. Go through the doors straight ahead past the refreshments area and toilets on the left.

Up the small stairs (or ramp) to the main hall. This is where you pay to get into the sports hall.
Its 80p for adults, 55p for OAPs and Free for children under 16 with an adult.

Remember Belper Car Boot Sale at Belper Leisure Centre takes place on the 2nd Sunday of the month for 9 months of the year.

Derby to Tansley Car Boot, A driving time-lapse video.

I have just uploaded my latest video. Filmed last Sunday, its a time-lapse driving video. The video starts in Derby and ends at Tansley Car Boot. Its not the most direct route by the way, Yes I know I could do it quicker !

At 03:12 in the video I have highlighted the current cost of fuel as I think in years to come we will look back on this and be amazed at how cheap it used to!!!

Willington car boot sale every Saturday and even Mondays !

This is Willington Car Boot Sale which takes place every Saturday morning, Yes SATURDAY !

This is held at Willington Sports and Social Club, There is a small amount of parking available at the back of the club and a large field opposite the car boot sale. Also a lot of buyers seem to park on Twyford Road (A5132) but you need to be careful parking on this road as its a rather fast road.
In good weather there are so many booters that they are on every bit of space around including the road side.



At one point this car boot sale was taking place on some land off Frizams Lane but they have not used that for a long time. This is one of those car boots that is not too large that you don't know where to start but not too small that there is hardly anything to buy. Or at least that's what I've found, being outdoors the weather is going to make a difference to how many booters are there.



Willington Car Boot used to have a website with lots of details about this car boot which was on www.krazybooters.com but that seems to be dead now.

The Saturday boot sale runs from March to the end of October.
Sellers are allowed to setup from 7am and buyers are allowed in at 8am
Entry price (on foot) is 50p for Adults, Kids are free.
A sellers Pitch is £7 for Cars and £10 for Vans and Trailers.

Willington Monday Car Boot Sale
The Monday car boot sale runs from June to September.
Monday sellers are allowed to setup from 9am and buyers are allowed in at 9:30am

As with most smaller car boots this starts to thin out at dinner time so get there early.

Derby Car Boot Sale - Better Boots, A new car boot for Derby!

This photograph was taken at the very first Betterboots Derby Car Boot Sale which was on Sunday 9th August 2009.

UPDATE October 11th : This car boot is now closed until spring 2010

This car boot sale is not too bad a size and is a good alternative to the one on Derby Cattle Market. Seemed to be well organised, plenty of booters to look around.

The difference with this car boot and others is that there is no need to get up at 5am and struggle trying to set up your items to sell while people are trying to buy stuff from you, looks like they have addressed this problem by having the booters setup time 8am-9am and only then are the buyers allowed in.
